Rip Van Winkle Wedding: A Celebration of Love Rip Van Winkle is super sentimental to Cassie & Maddox since one of their earliest dates was there! Their Rip Van Winkle wedding day was personal and filled with special memories. I could tell they had gone on many dates there because they had so many spots around the property that had significance for them. We captured many great images at these locations. I also loved how they went the extra mile to make their Rip Van Winkle wedding day so personal. So many little touches come to mind between Cassie’s dad making their ceremony arch to the Polaroid seating chart with table names matching places they traveled together. My personal favorite was their new spin on the tosses. Cassie threw a stuffed dog, with the winner being the next to adopt a dog, while Maddox threw a stuffed plant with that

Paula’s Louisiana Landscape Bridals As a Cajun girl, living on the other side of the world, Paula stressed how important it was to find the most traditional Louisiana landscape that we could for her bridals. I knew that ancient oak trees within walking distance of the Vermilion River in Abbeville, La would be a perfect fit! We were able to take these right before Paula & Mark’s crawfish boil they planned to celebrate their wedding stateside. She got her beautiful bouquet from Root and Vera Grace did an amazing job with her hair and makeup! This spot was the perfect choice to capture their engagement portraits. The UL Alumni House has such a timeless vibe — from the architecture to the open green spaces. I let Olivia know that I had a bunch of new ideas I wanted to try out, and they agreed to let me play and explore some new techniques, which I appreciated! An Il Mercato Wedding This summertime Il Mercato wedding was a blast to shoot! I was asked to associate this wedding for Mary-Kaitlyn Allen, and let me tell you, it was an absolute honor! Shoutout to Caroline from Iris & Oak Events. She was the real MVP, keeping us on track all day, and working with her was a total joy. Haley and her girls got ready at the most amazing apartment right down the street from Il Mercato making the logistics of the day just super easy! I just want to point out that in this era of the Babie movie, this group of girls nailed their Babie-core looks!Let’s talk flowers – Elle Floral Design nailed it with the most colorful and stunning wedding florals. Seriously, the venue looked like a dream with all those vibrant blooms—major kudos to them for adding that extra touch of elegance and fun.

Ben & Chris: A Gay French Quarter Wedding I had the lovely honor of photographing Ben & Chris’ French Quarter wedding! Traveling in from California, and bringing their near and dear; these guys had a blast showing everyone around New Orleans! Every part of this wedding was meticulously thought out and was extremely personal. From each groom having their own floral color scheme to having their good friend, Ms. Ruby Red, marry them; there was no part of their day that felt out of place! They also had this great idea for me to set up a backdrop and have my amazing second shooter man it instead of a traditonal photo booth, and I’m so glad we were able to pull it off because I love the feel of them.
