As a self-professed art nerd and former art major, I was thrilled to head to the Degas House in New Orleans for the first time! Once I got there I was blown away by the look that Alysia had pulled together and was so inspired. Sophie & Ryan’s French Quarter Engagement Portraits
Sophie had me at we have balcony access! I’ve shot all over New Orleans but it’s always a pleasure and thrill to get a sneak peek at the hidden, hard-to-find locations. We had a great time walking through both the French Quarter and City Park, and ended off the evening at Second Line Brewing for a nightcap! Can’t wait for their wedding at Southern Oaks this summer!

Kristie & Brad: A Pontchartrain Hotel Wedding Kristie & Brad’s Pontchartrain Hotel wedding was such a dream. Kristie had an incredible eye and paid so much attention to detail. Duia & Jean did an amazing job making The Parlor look amazing. This was another wedding where the timeline really gave me so much space and flexibility to get extra portraits and to have a comfortable laid back day. Having everything take place in the same location was a huge help with this. And what a place to be in! The Pontchartrain Hotel with it’s many bars and beautiful spaces made for my very own Eloise fantasy. I ran around all day and just had the best backdrops to make amazing images for this lovely couple. I had such a great time celebrating with them and I hope they had a good time with me! I’m also incredibly honored and excited
Amelie & Jackson: A Lafayette, La Wedding
Wow! What a journey these two went on. This was one of my very first couples to be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. They started out planning a huge wedding in Texarkana and 3 attempts later ended up with a small intimate wedding right here in Lafayette! Amelie & Jackson just moved here so they took the furniture out of their new house and just had the reception right there! My favorite part was when they got to watch all the toasts that people had filmed and sent in to them. Love is not canceled!! I had a great time with these two and my fingers are crossed that we can have the big reception of their dreams later! Stay tuned.

Samantha & Chris: A Nottoway Wedding It’s always an honor and a fun time when Mark Eric asks me to shoot with him. This day was no exception. I so appreciate him letting me add this wedding to my portfolio. Samantha & Chris’ wedding at Nottoway Planation is what dreams are made of. These two had one of the sweetest first looks I’ve been privileged to witness (it taking place in the white room didn’t hurt either). One of my favorite parts of the day was when they snuck into the reception space to squeeze in a private dance just the two of them before everyone else came in. Angela Marie Events knocked it out the park and Bella Blooms went above and beyond to make this space drip with flowers. Katie & Nelson: A St. Louis Cathedral Wedding This wedding was classic New Orleans; from the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral wedding, to the second line around Jackson Square and then onto a hopping party at The Jaxson. Sometimes we take for granted what a truly beautiful backdrop the French Quarter can be for a wedding. These two really knew how to throw a party, complete with the LSU fight song being sung and the bride ending up on top of a cheerleader style pyramid! We had to drag these folks out to do an exit but luckily they had all of NOLA to explore to be able continue the party! I had such a great time celebrating with Katie & Nelson!
