There is something about the getting-ready portion of a wedding day that tells me everything I need to know about how the day will go. Is she enjoying herself in a happy, confident way? Did she pick the people to surround herself with care and love? How does her body shift when it is finally real?At Longue Vue House, the architecture does half the work. Soft corners, old world texture, light that feels almost syrupy coming through the windows. Even the small moments, like fastening a heel or smoothing silk, feel elevated.Kiki was calm. Present.
