Asia & Brian’s Afton Villa Engagements Asia’s vision for her engagement session was a “fairytale,” and she picked the perfect location to capture that vibe. Afton Villa Gardens can feel like you fell into a storybook. The light was absolutely stunning that day and I really leaned in and let it be the main character. I also loved that as we were chatting, I realized that Asia and Brian’s love story was similar to my own. It’s so rare I meet high-school sweethearts these days, but I’m always thrilled to compare stories. I wish them the best as they plan their destination wedding! Kim & Marion’s John Nickerson House Wedding Kim & Marion’s John Nickerson House wedding was such an incredibly sweet, special & emotional celebration and I can’t believe I got to be a part of it! Marion and Kim absolutely adore each other and it’s so sweet to witness and photograph. But this wedding was more than a couple coming together it was a union of their whole family. Kim & Marion’s boys were such an important part of the day, and I just loved watching them transform into little gentlemen for the day. There was so much care and thought put into planning this whole day, and it really gave space for an overflowing of every emotion possible from everyone in attendance to shine through. Kimberly’s John Nickerson House Bridals Golden hour was really showing off on the day of Kim’s bridals! Since the wedding would be at John Nickerson House, taking Kim’s bridal portraits at the house, was a great first run at doing portraits on the property. We had some amazing vendors contributing to these portraits! A-Net’s, where Kim found her dress, is an amazing bridal boutique, just a neighborhood away from John Nickerson House! Thistle Co. did an impressive job on the bouquet, making sure that it was made up of native flowers. With Ashley on hair, Seanna on makeup & Tanne on spray tan; Kim was looking her very best!

Jobe & Alexis: A Surprise Proposal So this one is obviously very personal and special to me! When my little brother reached out for my help in pulling off his surprise proposal, I was so excited and honored. We devised a little plan to trick Alexis into agreeing to a practice portrait session with me. I made up this story about needing to try out a new lens, and I had some new poses in mind, yadda yadda yadda. Of course, the forecast called for rain that day, and I hurt my knee the week of, and the ruse was getting harder to pull off but we were still able to pull it all together and it was magical! I’m so lucky that I got to be there for such an intimate moment, and I’m excited to watch these two tie the knot.

The minute it was open, I asked if we could do a styled shoot to be able to show off this amazing new space! Kerri of Threaux Events and I pulled together an amazing group of women wedding vendors to pull off this elevated picnic shoot.
