Katie & Chris’ Hilliard Art Museum Wedding
Katie & Chris’ Hilliard Art Museum wedding was such a special occasion. This sweet couple ended up having their wedding celebrations take place over two separate days a couple of months apart after a medical emergency threw a wrench in their plans. It made making it to the reception even sweeter. I’ve never spent so much time with a couple. From their portrait sessions to photographing some of the parties leading up to the wedding by the end of the second night, I felt like I was a part of the family and it was hard to say goodbye.

Katie’s Nottoway Bridals
Katie’s Nottoway Bridals Oh boy were these a treat to make! When Katie mentioned she wanted to head to Nottoway‘s famous white room to do her bridal portraits I was more than excited. Her stunning and unique dress in the space was a perfect match. Now that Katie is a married lady I’m so glad I finally get to share these!

Ben & Chris: A New Orleans Engagement Adventure
Ben & Chris: A New Orleans Engagement Adventure Since Ben & Chris flew in from California to take their engagement portraits I made sure that we went all over town! After exploring the French Quarter, we ran over the city park and ended the evening chasing down streetcars on Canal! I’m counting down the days to this wedding. I know it’s going to be so amazing after finding out all that they have planned!

Cassie & Maddox: Avery Island Engagement Portraits
Cassie & Maddox: Avery Island Engagement Portraits Wow! It was impossible to miss how much in love these two are. Their chemistry just radiated out of them and it was a joy to have them in front of my camera while we were at Avery Island. I was so happy to find out that 4-H brought them together as a former 4-H kid myself! I also love that they brought their love of Halloween into the session and made some unforgettable moments. These pumpkins had us laughing so hard. I can’t wait for their wedding! I know how much love will be in the room and I know it’ll be an honor to witness.

Claire & Jake: A Rip Van Winkle Gardens Wedding
Claire & Jake’s Rip Van Winkle wedding was one for the books. After having a sentimental and traditional catholic wedding at their hometown church in St. Martinville, everyone headed out to Rip Van Winkle Gardens on Jefferson Island. They took advantage of the amazing view in a new way by moving their dance floor under the oaks and had their first dances at sunset as their guests took in the amazing view. I had never seen this set up before and it made the night feel super special. So much jitterbugging took place as Louisiana Red played on the nearby porch. An all-star team of vendors was put together to make sure the whole day turned out perfectly. From Southern Fete pulling all the details together to Root Floral Design doing the flowers, and Caked by Em delivering her always yummy cake; everything turned out beyond picturesque. My personal favorite

Claire & Jake: Rip Van Winkle Engagement Portraits
Now that Claire and Jake had their epic wedding at Rip Van Winkle I couldn’t help but look back at their lovely portrait session we had there. Claire said she’s always loved the gardens so I was so glad we could do their engagement portraits there.
