Jobe & Alexis’s Jungle Gardens Engagement Photos | Avery Island on Film

Okay, this one is extra special. Each time I photograph a milestone for Jobe it feels so satisfying. This one only makes me dream of photographing moments from the life and marriage he is about to build with Alexis. I’m so glad that they picked Jungle Gardens on Avery Island. It’s one of Louisiana’s most gorgeous hidden gems. We had the whole place practically to ourselves that evening, wandering through the oak trees, around the lagoons, and finding all the dreamy spots. The light was absolutely perfect that day too! The film shots from this session came out extra beautiful. There’s just something about film that captures those romantic, dreamy moments in the most incredible way. We also laughed and laughed. Between Jobe fighting with the champagne for us all to toast, to my film camera taking a bunch of blank frames, it was a comedy of errors, but still lots of fun. It was also nice to see so much genuine joy radiating from these two. I can Jobe has found something special from the way he looks at her, and I couldn’t be happier for them.
