Camilla & Zane’s Intimate Elopement Story | 8 Years of Love at Grandiflora B&B
I am STILL swooning over Camilla and Zane’s intimate elopement story! After eight years together and getting engaged on a Costa Rican beach, these two realized a big traditional wedding just wasn’t their vibe. So they decided to “do the damn thing” with the most charming elopement at the Grandiflora B&B in Laurel, Mississippi.
Their intimate elopement story actually began when Zane’s mom introduced them to HGTV’s “Home Town.” They became completely obsessed with the historic renovations and small-town charm (honestly, who wouldn’t?). When it came time to pick their spot, the Grandiflora B&B was absolutely perfect – blooming azaleas, massive oaks, and charming gardens everywhere you looked.
The morning kicked off with breakfast at the B&B. Followed by some luxurious prep time, Hannah from the Glossary Salon styled Camilla’s hair, then Zane (who actually does hair himself!) helped with the finishing touches. How sweet is that?
Why Going Small Was Their Best Decision
We need to talk about Camilla’s dress! She wore this stunning Rasario Off The Shoulder Colorblock Midi that she’d been eyeing forever. After some serious “RealReal sleuthing,” her childhood friend Cecilia gifted it to her – too sweet! Paired with those Marion Parke slingbacks, she looked stunning and classic! I really can’t describe my excitement when she pulled it out to show me! It set the tone and style for the rest of the day and just suited her so well! You could tell Camilla felt comfortable and beautiful in it, and thats how everyone should feel on their wedding day.
Here’s my favorite detail from their intimate elopement story: the florist delivered exactly eight Calla Lilies, matching their eight years together. The universe was clearly on board! When Zane saw his bride for their first look, he was literally too stunned to speak, and I could tell he loved her dress just as much as I did when I saw it earlier.
We really took our time with getting so many portraits in the beautiful gardens (with Camilla battling to keep her stilettos steady on the grass – the dedication!), and having all of the azaleas in full bloom was the best part! I found this cozy little corner for them to canoodle in, with the azaleas framing out the foreground, and those shots ended up being some of my absolute favorites.
Brandiilynn Dear, an officiant from Hattiesburg, led their ceremony. But here’s what got me – after their vows, Zane had arranged for musician, Wes McCool, to surprise Camilla with “How Long Will I Love You” from Zane’s favorite movie “About Time.” Watching them have that moment together was so special to witness.
The Perfect Ending to Their Story
After signing the paperwork, these two celebrated exactly their way – changed into comfy clothes and had pizza! It was so perfectly them, and honestly, that’s what makes each intimate elopement story unique. No stress, no fuss, just doing exactly what makes you happy.
This intimate elopement story reminded me why small ceremonies are so special. Between the stunning location, thoughtful details, and Camilla and Zane’s genuine love, this day was everything an elopement should be.
