Alexis & Luke: An Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans Wedding
Alexis, Luke & I had quite a journey. This is another couple whose wedding day had to be reconfigured in all sorts of ways due to the pandemic but that just means we got to celebrate twice! They had a beautiful and intimate wedding ceremony on their original date in January at Alexis’ alma mater, the Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans. The small chapel there couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. Then a huge fun party in August at the Jaxson in the heart of the French Quarter to tie it all up. It was an honor to be a part of all of the ups and downs and I’m so grateful that these two stuck with it until the end and trusted me to capture it all! Darian’s Rustic Bridals
Darian is my treasured hat trick client and friend. I’ve been photographing her since high school and it’s been so emotional photographing her as a bride as well. Since I know Darian I knew that this rustic Louisiana background was just perfect for her. It was a great setting for her clean and classic look!
John Nickerson House Inspiration
When some of us local wedding professionals found out Lafayette was getting a new venue we were dying to not only see it but make some images in the beautiful new space. What we came up with was putting modern details in juxtaposition with this restored historic home. We hoped to mix the femininity of weddings with a bit of edge. The delicate Victor & Rolf wedding gown paired with alligator skin booties. The sweet bow next to a chain choker. The cool pale blue of the venue next to the heat of red and ochre florals. The classic wedding cake toasted with whiskey. And what better way to end this shoot, than with a motorcycle exit!We are honored to have this shoot be featured on the Southern Bride Magazine blog! I can’t wait to photograph weddings here! I know it’ll be the site of so many celebrations to come.

Sophie & Ryan’s Southern Oaks Wedding Sophie & Ryan‘s Southern Oaks Wedding was so special because they put so much time and effort to make sure it reflected what they loved and were interested in. Even though the day started out incredibly rainy, the skies parted just in time for them to have their outdoor ceremony on the steps just like they had imagined it. From incorporating their love of marching band, which is how they met, to their love of craft beer, the day was so specifically tailored to them that every time they turned around they were met with something that was meaningful to them. Camille & Phil: Grand Coteau Engagements
The light on the day of Camille & Phil’s engagement shoot was downright magical. It was so sweet to see Camille showing Phil around the school she had grown up and spent so much time at. I love it when couples seem like the best of friends. I can’t wait for their wedding this fall! It’s going to be so great.
