Sarah & James: A Cajun Wedding

Sarah & James: A Cajun Wedding I was super excited when I heard of all the cajun elements being brought into this very sweet and personal affair. Sarah’s family was excited to show James’ family our food and traditions. It started off at the crawfish boil the night before and extended out to the cajun band, the Daiquiri Queens that had the whole dance floor filled all evening.Sarah, her sisters, and her sweet dog Layla got ready in her grandmother’s hair salon that she had grown up in and it was the perfect way to start the day; followed by a Catholic Mass at Our Lady of Fatima, portraits at the Alumni House on UL’s campus with a beautiful reception at Cafe Vermilionville. One of my favorite moments was the private reveal of the reception space and first dance that was arranged. This wedding is a little bittersweet because it

A Crawfish Boil Rehearsal Dinner

A Crawfish Boil Rehearsal Dinner I’ve photographed many many rehearsal dinners in my career but this one was just so sweet and unique I wanted to share. First of all, I love when our Cajun culture can be shared in such a pure way. The locals took so much time to teach the out-of-towners how to peel their crawfish. It was so fun to watch them discover this delicacy and get the hang of it. The light was beautiful, the weather was perfect, the speeches were personal and it was just too nice not to share. Olivia & Tyler: Afton Villa Garden Engagement Portraits

On the day of Olivia & Tyler’s engagement portraits, we had a strange mix of eerie light. It was cloudy but sunny and it made for such a magical atmosphere. These two are the sweetest and when you can see a couple’s chemistry it makes my job so much easier. This was also my first time at Afton Villa Gardens but I promise that it won’t be my last. This place is stunning and we’re lucky to have it so close to us.

A Galveston Beach Wedding: Published in I Do Y’all Magazine I was thrilled to hear that this Galveston Beach Wedding Editorial got published in I Do Y’all Magazine! Striking the right balance of chic details with laid-back style, this small beach celebration will have us all longing for a beach day.The bride is wearing a dream of a dress that would catch the breeze off the gulf to make for some stunning shots. While the groom not only adored her but dug his toes into the sand. Magnolia Rose Company really went above and beyond when putting together the cascading orchids that resembled the waves nearby. Who wouldn’t want to have a celebration dinner with that view? Enjoy!

A NOMA Bridals Editorial This project is very personal and close to my heart. I made these images because I had to, they had been living inside of me for too long. I made them for myself. I hope that they are inspirational to my current and future brides, especially those interested in NOMA Bridals, but mostly they’re inspirational to me.
