I wanted to share some of Victoria’s images that we got from her rep session. She was just darling to photograph and I’m looking forward to her full session later in her senior year. If you are interested in becoming one of her referrals let her or I know.
I took some time out to do some personal work this spring which was so refreshing. I’d had an image in my head of my mama’s hands in dough as she was making tarts for a long time. For Mother’s Day she told me she was making tarts that week and to be at her house in the morning. We made coconut, pineapple and blackberry tarts and a Tarte á la Bouillie which is a pie with a thick sweet custard.
Being from such a huge cajun family there are always so many people around but my grandmother has always taken the time to have one on one time with us over the years. This was one of those special moments, along with the time she taught me to sew and when her and papop took just me fishing, that I’ll always cherish.
I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed taking them! …I’m so hungry for a tart now.
I adored this Parisian themed wedding! All of the details worked so well together. They ended up getting to end of the aisle and then it started pouring but they were such good sports about it! A little rain was not going to ruin such an amazing affair. I’m so honored that I got to be a part of it!

I wanted to highlight the newest boutique in River Ranch, BeLush, to give my seniors, brides and moms an idea of where to start when looking for an outfit for their portraits. Krisitian is so helpful and is looking forward to helping you pull something together!
What is your advice for ladies looking for the perfect outfit for portraits?
My advice for ladies for portraits would be using a certain fit that compliments their body type. Also, a perfect style and color scheme that pops to make sure they have the best pictures they could ever dream of.
What do you think is going to be popular in the fall?
I think scarves will be popular in the fall of course; also, booties, fringe, and maroon colors.
What is your favorite part of working with ladies to feel their best dressed self?
My favorite part of working with ladies is helping them pull outfits together. I love the look on their face because I can tell they feel beautiful and it is such a reward for me. I know that when a customer leaves feeling confident no matter what size or age, I’m doing what I was born to do.
What makes your boutique unique?
My boutique is unique because ladies walk in and leave with a smile, I carry plus and regular sized clothing at a great price. I feel that every woman should be able to rock amazing clothes that are inexpensive. For the “royalty on a budget”
I had such an amazing experience getting to know Amanda, Justin and Ms. Annette throughout this process. They really made me feel like family! So much thought and effort was put into all the details of the day and they really let their personalities shine through. (Can you tell they are big outdoorsmen?) A huge thanks has to be given to Katie for her amazing second shooting skills!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Tina at Flowers & More by Dean on several occasions and I’ve always been impressed with her creativity! I chatted with Tina about her views on florals for the big day.
What are the benefits of having a professional florist for your wedding?
There are many benefits of hiring professionals for all of your vendors. Number one reason…Stress free! The happy couple and their families can be exactly that. Let the professional take care of you. When you hire a professional florist you get knowledge, experience, and the art of floral design. Your wedding flowers will be delicately cared for from the time they’re cut from the field, until they’re handed off to you. There are many opportunities for Mother Nature to change your flower plans. A professional florist will know how to handle any potential disasters.
What is going to be a floral trend for weddings in 2015 and into 2016?
I am getting many requests for lush, full bouquets and centerpieces. Hydrangea & Garden roses are the most requested blooms while color schemes are leaning to rich, deep royalty colors like Violets, Plums, & Marsala. I believe that the floral trend for the next couple of years will be lots of large flowers, accented with natural berries, vines, raw materials, and completed with very personal touches.
What makes your services unique?
My services are very devoted and personal. My passion for life, love, family, & friends is portrayed in my designs. Wedding flowers are an accent, but can make a very powerful statement when they portray the personality and spirit of the bride & groom which is what I strive to capture. I truly believe that every one should have a florist that they can call their own.
What is your favorite part of meeting with couples?
Hearing their story. Seeing the excitement in their eyes when they’re visioning the big day. That magic moment when all of our thoughts collide and compliment, assuring her that her wedding flowers will be even prettier than she imagined!
What is the number one tip you give your couples?
When selecting wedding vendors, make sure that you choose the one that’s willing to implicate your visions and be reasonable with your expectations. Don’t stress about the details. Leave it up to professionals and your day will be magical!
