We had to keep our fingers crossed that a tropical storm wouldn’t rain on our party, but it worked, and the Katz wedding went off without a hitch! I loved this early morning wedding in City Park followed by a lunch at Brennan’s, a New Orleans institution. It was a different way of getting married in New Orleans and I hope to see more of these.
When I was little and Tiffany was even younger our backyards touched. It was so surreal to have been such a big part of her wedding so many years later. Tiffany made a stunning bride and her wedding was gorgeous!
I love traveling to Austin because the landscape changes so dramatically. I love the rocky cliffs and hilly back roads. Just outside of Austin down one of these roads sits the beautiful Prospect House with its amazing view atop a hill. Its the perfect blank white canvas for your wedding dreams. It was such a nice setting for this amazing styled workshop that I was able to attend with Kayla Barker. She had an amazing team put together this dream of a shoot complete with orchids, a mrs. box and Jimmy Choo shoes. Melanie McKinley of Mayhar Design worked so well with Alicia and Adam of Bows and Arrows Flowers. Makenzi Laine did an amazing job with hair and makeup on Abbey who got to wear two stunning dresses. The Watters gown looked so nice against the backdrop and Elias Gurrola made a custom gown complete with statement bow for Abbey to wear at the ceremony site. Jenny Sanders did beautiful work with the stationary. This shoot was so inspiring. I hope that it will spark ideas and inspire your wedding planning as well.
I loved being a part of this little shoot. I really liked the idea of taking influences from Paris and putting a southern twist on them! I took place at the beautiful Venue 311 and was planned by Delighted and Styled. Shades of White provided the dress while Sunny Hair & Makeup provided H&MU. I couldn’t have asked for a prettier bouquet from Petal Society! The cake, which I got a taste of, was from Ever So Sweet. I fell head over heels when I saw the invitation suite provided by Chauncey Calligraphy & Design. The envelope liners alone was worth writing home about. And of course Lindsay did an amazing job as our bride.
A crisp fall day couldn’t have been a more beautiful setting to commemorate Sophie and Mathew’s Paris vow renewal. Sophie & Matthieu are so in love its contagious. They look like kids in high school falling in love for the first time while in reality they’ve been married for awhile. I love that. These guys were so awesome to photograph because they were so comfortable with each other and had amazing chemistry. Sophie’s blue dress was in perfect contrast to Paris’ fall colors. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting with the Eiffel Tower in the back of this lovely spot in the Trocadéro area. Rosemary & Finch made the most amazing florals for this shoot! You may have seen the portraits of Mary (of Rosemary & Finch) & Ben earlier on the blog. I was able to be a part of this shoot when I traveled to Paris last fall for some mentoring. This was an amazing experience and I am always willing to head back to Paris and capture a love story. Paris is always a good idea.
When Danielle explained to me her vision for her bridals I got super excited. I loved the idea of a clean, classic and elegant session. Parc Lafayette is such a beautiful and perfect setting for this style. Danielle is such a beautiful bride. I’m so glad I’m finally able to share these.
I still can’t believe that I traveled back to Paris to do some mentoring and shooting. Mary & Ben came to do the florals for our styled shoot and I was so thrilled that we were able to squeeze in a couples shoot with them. They are so in love and comfortable with each other that it was so easy to photograph them. They had this amazing chemistry and it was a joy to capture that. We couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop because the fall colors in Jardin du Luxembourg are so beautiful. Mary is an amazing florist! You should check out her work at Rosemary & Finch!
Sometimes the beauty of this state really takes my breath away. We are so luck to live in a such a beautiful place. Renee and I talked about a lot of different locations for her bridals and I think she made a wonderful choice by deciding on Myrtle’s Planation in St. Francisville. I loved Renee’s dress. It was so elegant and it really suited her.
